  1. Mark Holterman is an established researcher, professor and medical practitioner with over 2 and half decades of experience. Today, he works as a professor of pediatrics and general surgery at the University of Illinois, a position that he has held since the year 2011. He is one of the most influential researchers in the clinical industry. This is after having undergone a clinical research training and spending even more years being front line in this industry.

Holterman studied at the renowned Yale University from the year 1976 and graduated in the year 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in General Biology. He then proceeded to join the University of in the year 1980. He was in the university for the next eight years pursuing a master’s degree in Medicine and Immunology followed by a PhD in the same. After completing his studies, like most practitioners, Holterman began his residency. He was to practice at University of Virginia from the year 1988 to the year 1993. On completion of his residency, Holterman got a job at Seattle Children’s. He was in the fellowship program for pediatric surgery, which lasted two years. These two opportunities equipped him with adequate knowledge to confidently join the real career world.

 

For the next two years, after successfully completing the fellowship program, Dr. Mark Holterman was admitted as an instructor of surgery at the University of Washington. He was with the university till the year 1995 when he joined the Clinical Research Institute of Montreal working as an Immunology Research Associate. He left the institute in the year 1997.

That same year, Dr. Holterman joined the University of Illinois, which is based in Chicago, where he worked for the next 13 and a half years as a professor. In the year 2011, he went to work at the University of Illinois’ College of Medicine, which based in Peoria.
